Description
Researchers have developed and tried out a wide range of approaches to providing support to patients in psychedelic research trials. Some approaches combine a full course of brief psychotherapy with a psychedelic session, and others provide psychological support or just a simple psychoeducation session before dosing. With all this variety it is important to understand the rationale for choosing one approach over the other, and the role of the therapist in each approach.
